Hello everyone~!
So, as you may or may not have learned, I am indeed going to university in London (University College London - whee ^^~) and although the weather is grinding on my nerves (mainly the nerves in my toes because I am a California girl through and through... wearing flip-flops in sub-Arctic temperatures, that is :P), I am having a grand time over here! So, if you're ever in London, or around London, and you have the time, feel free to drop by for a visit! All my friends in the dorm make me jealous by bringing all their friends over (from home, I might add) all the time.
And of course, NaNoWriMo has just started up and I think I'm on-track to finishing (aka: I have a plot and a story and a title and I'm over the wordcount on the first day-slash-night [yeahhh, definitely mostly night]), so I'm pretty pleased about that. :3
In terms of fandom -- the thing that's got my attention utterly hooked right now? Kuroko no Basuke (Kuroko no Basket, The Basketball Which Kuroko Plays, KuroBasu, etc.), but of course! If we're friends from the community, hi! (And yeah, you won't hear much from me because generally my brain goes: DESTINY, WHY THE HELL ARE YOU BLOGGING ABOUT YOUR LIFE WHEN YOU COULD BE WRITING FANFIC?! and the only reason I'm doing this today is because [1] it's NaNoWriMo time and [2] I just finished 1/6th of the notes *feeling good*) But anyways, it's a really awesome manga with lots of interesting characters (IMO, I think there's one legitimately attractive male character, two awesome female characters [they're the only female characters but believe me: they kick ass~], and so much Unresolved Sexual Tension that I've written some ten thousand odd words on the subject xD) and a great plotline too so if you have the time (and you're interested in sports manga, basketball namely!), I absolutely recommend it. Or, if you're an anime person, just wait a couple months because an anime has been promised... :3
Aside from that: school, I suppose. Not much to say, though. I'm exhausted but happy most of the time; I never used to enjoy reading, but then I realised what I was missing out on and it was like: BRAND NEW (nerdy!) WORLD. I dislike how lectures are mandatory but the fact that they take up next to nothing of my time (and I can generally read the textbook[s] straight through the lectures) means I have nothing to actually complain about.
...so yeah. Er, to be fair, how are you guys all doing? Is there anything worth complaining about? Ah~ how about doujinshi? A friend of mine asked me to write a script for one and I was all like: I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT, I ONLY WRITE FANFIC but eh, we'll see~ xD;
